Police recovered the body of an unidentified girl on Friday night from Ghola Para, Shahporir Dwip, under Teknaf upazila in Cox’s Bazar.
The girl was aged around 12 to 13 years.

Eyewitnesses said that after the Isha prayer, they came out of their houses upon hearing a sudden scream from a woman in the area. Then they saw the girl vomiting. When asked about her identity, she said her name was Arfa and that her home was in Moheshkhali.
They added that she died on the way to a hospital.
Police official Sanjib said that an inquest report has been prepared and efforts to identify her are ongoing. The body will be sent to the morgue of Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
