Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC has opened its 142nd branch on Airport Road in Banani, Dhaka, aiming to expand modern, technology-driven banking services to a wider segment of the population.
The branch is located at House 43, Block-F, Road 11 (Tower B-11) in the capital, according to a media statement.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key figures from the bank’s board and management. Shahjalal Islami Bank Vice Chairman Mohammed Younus formally opened the branch as chief guest, while Managing Director Mosleh Uddin Ahmed presided over the event.
Bank directors Md Sanaullah Shahid, also chairman of the Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation, Khandaker Shakib Ahmed, and Fakir Maniruzzaman were present as special guests.
Other senior officials, alongside divisional heads, branch managers and customers, were present during the inauguration.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Mohammed Younus said, “Shahjalal Islami Bank has been providing all kinds of modern banking services to its customers. We hope this new Airport Road branch will play a greater role in the country’s economic growth.”
