National University (NU) published the results of its first-year honours admission test for the 2025-2026 academic year on Sunday, with 80.36 per cent of candidates passing an examination where nearly half a million students competed for places, the university said in a press release.
Vice-Chancellor Professor ASM Amanullah announced the results seven days after the test was held on 25 April. A total of 453,148 students sat the examination, and 364,135 passed. Of those successful, 229,765 secured positions on the first merit list. Humanities students accounted for 113,394 of the first-list placements, while science contributed 65,337 and business studies added 51,034.
The announcement took place in the presence of Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Lutfor Rahman, Treasurer Professor ATM Zafarul Azam, along with the university’s deans, registrar, examination controller, heads of various departments, teachers, and officers.
Candidates can obtain their results by sending an SMS with the format NU<space>AT<space>Application ID to 16222. Results are also accessible on the National University admissions website under the Honours Tab by selecting the Admission Test Result option.
