Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 460 individuals and filed 25 cases during routine drives across the capital over the past 24 hours.
The arrests were carried out by various divisions of the DMP.
According to DMP, 99 people were arrested from Mirpur Division, followed by 79 in Motijheel, 61 each in Tejgaon and Uttara, 50 in Wari, 45 in Gulshan, 32 in Ramna, and 29 in Lalbagh.
The Detective Branch (DB) of DMP arrested four more people.
During the raids, police recovered a significant haul of illegal items and drugs, including 2.28 kg of cannabis, 10,127 Yaba pills, one motorcycle, nine mobile phones, three knives, and a pair of scissors.
Furthermore, police rescued one victim during the operations.
The drives were conducted across various police station areas in the capital to arrest suspects and recover narcotics.
Legal proceedings against the arrested individuals are underway.
