Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 349 people and filed 43 cases during routine anti-crime drives across the capital over the last 24 hours.
According to DMP, 93 from Mirpur division , 58 from Tejgaon, 36 from Gulshan, 35 from Wari, 32 from Uttara, 31 from Ramna, 29 from Motijheel, and 19 from Lalbagh.
The Detective Branch (DB) of DMP arrested 14 more people.
The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit arrested two suspects.
During these drives, police recovered a significant quantity of narcotics and other items, including 3,356 pieces of Yaba, 14.52 kilograms of hemp, and 99 bottles of foreign liquor.
Police also seized 63 mobile phones, 80 SIM cards, one passport, four knives, five mobile chargers, and two multi-plugs, alongside the successful rescue of one victim.
The DMP said police arrested the people during raids across different police station areas in the capital while recovering narcotics.
Legal proceedings against the arrested people are underway.
