A total of 23,372 Hajj pilgrims from Bangladesh have reached Saudi Arabia in the first four days of travel, according to the Hajj bulletin.

Bangladesh Hajj Office Director Lokman Hossain said 58 flights had landed in Jeddah by 10am on Tuesday.

He said a total of 78,500 pilgrims from Bangladesh will perform Hajj this year.

Among them, 660 agencies are managing pilgrims under private arrangements, including 30 lead agencies and 630 coordinating agencies.

Airline data shows 8,674 pilgrims travelled on 21 Biman Bangladesh Airlines flights, 8,247 on 21 Saudi Airlines flights, and 6,451 on 16 Flynas flights.

The remaining 54,904 pilgrims will depart in phases on designated airlines, he said.

According to Hajj Office data, 4,565 pilgrims will perform Hajj under government management and 73,935 under private arrangements.

Subject to moon sighting, the Hajj is expected to be held on May 26 in Saudi Arabia.
