Two persons were killed when two motorcycles crashed into each other in Golapganj upazila of Sylhet early Wednesday.
The accident took place at Teromile when the two bikes coming from opposite directions collided, Golapganj Model Police Station’s sub‑inspector Anand Chandra said.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Ahad, 43, son of Jitu Mia of Goaspur village under Golapganj Sadar Union, and Sabbir, 21, son of Lal Mia of Ranaping area in Golapganj.
The accident occurred on the Sylhet–Zakiganj road at Hetimganj in the upazila.
Two others were injured in the crash. Jakir Ahmed, 35, son of Akmal Hossain of Juri, and Ariful Haque Joy, 20, son of Abdul Halim of Golapganj, were taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Legal proceedings are underway, he said.
