Hazaribagh police have arrested 11 individuals for their alleged involvement in various crimes during a special operation conducted in the capital’s Hazaribagh Police Station area over the past 24 hours.
The information was confirmed in a press release issued on Friday, signed by Niaz Mehedi, Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Iqbal Hossain Molla Emon, 24, Md Humayun Kabir, 34, Md Nizam Uddin, 42, Monjur Hasan Apu, 29, Mahmudul Hasan Chanchal, 33, Md Abu Amjad Shakil, 25, Md Kamal, 30, Md Mintu Mia, 39, Rasu, 30, Md Shakil, 30, and Md Haider Rahman, 40.
According to the police, the detainees include suspects named in regular cases as well as others involved in different criminal activities. The authorities said such special operations would continue in order to maintain normal law and order within the capital.
The press release further said that necessary legal measures have been taken against the arrested individuals, and they have been sent to court.
