Zaima Rahman, granddaughter of Khaleda Zia, has accepted the “Indomitable Woman” award posthumously on her behalf, for the former prime minister and BNP ex-chairperson’s contributions to women’s education and progress of democracy.
The ceremony was held at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium on Sunday during a programme organised to mark International Women’s Day.
President Mohammed Shahabuddin handed over the award to Zaima Rahman. The honour was bestowed as part of the ‘Indomitable Woman’ award initiative by the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs.
