Xiaomi has been recognised as the No 1 mobile handset brand in Bangladesh for the second consecutive year, securing the top spot in the Mobile Handset category at the 17th Best Brand Award 2025, organised by Bangladesh Brand Forum.
The award was received by Liu Chang, deputy country manager, and Md Asaduzzaman, marketing director of Xiaomi Bangladesh, at a ceremony held on Saturday. The recognition reinforces Xiaomi’s strong position in Bangladesh’s highly competitive smartphone market.
“This back-to-back recognition reflects the trust and love of Xiaomi users across Bangladesh,” said Md Asaduzzaman, noting the brand’s ambition to expand its presence in the AIoT space. “Our goal is to serve users not only with smartphones but also with a wide range of technology solutions.”
Since entering the Bangladeshi market, Xiaomi has gained significant traction among consumers nationwide, driven by its strategy of offering feature-rich smartphones at accessible prices, backed by reliable after-sales service and a growing retail footprint. Its success spans both urban and rural areas, helping bridge the digital divide and making innovation more inclusive.
A key contributor to Xiaomi’s popularity has been its Redmi Note series, which continues to perform strongly in the local market. The brand has confirmed plans to launch its next generation Note series in Bangladesh next year, generating interest among its large user base.
