A writ petition has been filed in the High Court challenging legality of the overall activities carried out under the interim government led by former chief adviser Muhammad Yunus.
The petition questions the validity of laws enacted, reform commissions formed, and domestic and international agreements signed during that period. The petition was filed on Monday.
It seeks a directive to form a commission to investigate these matters, as well as to examine whether any corruption allegations exist against Yunus.
Supreme Court lawyer Muhammad Mohsin Rashid told reporters he filed the petition with the relevant branch of the High Court on Sunday in the public interest.
The Cabinet Secretary and two secretaries of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs have been made respondents.
Earlier, the same lawyer had filed a writ petition challenging the oath and formation process of the interim government. That petition was dismissed by a High Court bench, and his appeal to the Appellate Division was also rejected.
