Walton Hi-Tech Industries is expanding its presence in North Africa by appointing a Libyan company as its authorised distributor, as the electronics maker pushes to widen its overseas sales network.
The company has signed a three-year global distributorship agreement with Libya-based ASR Al Techniyah to sell, distribute and market Walton products across Libya, according to a disclosure filed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.
Under the agreement, ASR Al Techniyah will serve as Walton’s authorised distributor in the Libyan market under mutually agreed terms.
ASR Al Techniyah is a privately owned company registered under Libyan law, with its registered office in Tripoli.
The deal is part of Walton’s broader effort to expand international distribution channels and increase its market presence beyond Bangladesh. The company already exports its products to several overseas markets, including countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
Walton Hi-Tech shares inched up 0.16 per cent to Tk386.90 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.
