The Directorate of Primary Education on Thursday announced the schedule for the viva examinations of candidates who passed the written test for recruitment of assistant teachers in government primary schools for 2025.

According to a notification signed by Director General Abu Noor Md Shamsuzzaman, the district-level oral tests will be held from 28 January to 3 February.

In districts with a large number of candidates, multiple interview boards will conduct the tests simultaneously.

The decision follows directives from the Ministry of Public Administration and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.

Selected candidates must submit copies of their application online, uploaded photograph, national identity card, and the admit card of the written examination.

In addition, they must provide a citizenship certificate issued by the Union Parishad chairman, municipal mayor, or city corporation councillor.

Applicants under the quota for children of freedom fighters, martyred freedom fighters, and Biranganas must submit a certified copy of the freedom fighter gazette and relationship certificate issued by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.

Physically disabled candidates holding Golden Citizen Cards and third-gender applicants must submit certificates from the Department of Social Services.

Candidates from small indigenous communities must submit a certificate from the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) or district administration.

All documents must be attested by a gazetted officer of at least grade 9 and submitted to the respective district primary education office by 27 January, 2026.

Candidates will then receive a receipt of submission, and originals must be shown to the district officer along with photocopies.

On the day of the oral test, candidates must bring all original certificates, the receipt, and other required documents.

The exact date, time, and venue for each candidate will be published on the respective district primary education office website and notice board.

The written exam results were published on Wednesday, 21 January. A total of 69,265 candidates have been selected to appear in the oral examination.
