Nahid Islam, convener of National Citizen Party (NCP) and candidate for Dhaka-11 constituency, stated on Friday that a particular political party has been making “nonsensical” remarks out of fear regarding the “mass wave” generated by the 10-party alliance.
Speaking at the inauguration of his election campaign for the Dhaka-11 seat on Friday morning, Nahid asserted that the 10 parties would work together in the coming days to establish a justice-based society.
He described the upcoming election, scheduled for 12 February, as a pivotal moment for sending “true patriots” to parliament. He further promised that the “true victory” of the people would be achieved through this election and pledged to eradicate extortion and terrorism.
In addition to his campaign remarks, the NCP leader called upon the public to cast a “Yes” vote in the referendum, maintaining that good governance can be ensured through this process.
Following his speech, Nahid Islam led a mass procession that commenced from Bashtola in Bhatara, Dhaka.
