Vijay’s much-awaited political action film Jana Nayagan, promoted as the superstar’s final film before entering politics, has crossed Rs 255 crore at the worldwide box office in its first week. However, the film’s earnings continued to slow on its seventh day in theatres.
According to The Indian Express, citing industry tracker Sacnilk, Jana Nayagan earned an estimated Rs 6.10 crore net in India on Day 7. The latest figures take its India gross collection to Rs 174.63 crore, while its domestic net total has reached Rs 149.50 crore. The film’s worldwide earnings now stand at around Rs 255 crore.
The Tamil version remained the biggest contributor on Day 7, collecting Rs 4.60 crore. The Hindi version added Rs 1 crore, while the Telugu version earned Rs 50 lakh. The latest numbers represent a noticeable decline from Day 6, when the film collected Rs 8 crore net.
The film is currently screening across 10,359 shows nationwide. Morning occupancy stood at 16.62%, rising to 19.23% in the afternoon. Evening shows recorded the day’s highest occupancy at 24.38%, before settling at 22.77% during the night.
