United Group has earned international acclaim for Bangladesh after its concern, United Power Generation and Distribution Company Ltd, won the “Bangladesh Operational Innovation of the Year – Energy” award at the Asian Innovation Excellence Awards 2025.
The ceremony took place at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore, United said in a press release.
The award, presented by the Asian Business Review, recognises organisations across Asia that are reshaping industries through innovation and forward-thinking practices.
United Power was honoured for its cutting-edge operational model in power generation and distribution, which combines sustainability, efficiency and advanced technology to strengthen Bangladesh’s energy infrastructure.
Receiving the award on behalf of United Power, Head of Group Brand and Communications Shish Swapnik said the honour reflects the team’s collective effort and dedication.
“This achievement belongs to the entire United Power family, whose relentless commitment to innovation and efficiency continues to strengthen Bangladesh’s energy landscape. It is inspiring to see our local efforts recognised on a global stage,” he said.
