Unilever Bangladesh has merged its flagship BizMaestros business competition with the Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP), turning the annual contest into a recruitment and leadership development platform that fast-tracks top performers for jobs and internships.
The revamped programme, unveiled at the BizMaestros X UFLP 2026 finale in Dhaka on Thursday, is designed to identify high-potential graduates through real-world business challenges before placing them on accelerated recruitment pathways, the company said.
Held under the theme “Disrupt To Win”, the competition tasked finalists with solving business challenges before a jury comprising senior Unilever executives and Bata Shoe Bangladesh Managing Director Faria Yasmin.
Team Soap-R-Stars emerged as champions. The team comprised Mir Ramisa Raiyan Rose of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Faiyaz Amin Rahin and Rushmila Habib of the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka.
Team Locked Out finished first runner-up, while Team Breaking Good secured the second runner-up position.
The competition started with applications, aptitude tests and digital interviews before narrowing the field to 45 candidates for a bootcamp featuring mentorship, case-solving exercises and assessments. The top 18 participants were then divided into six teams for the final round.
Human Resources Director Syeda Durdana Kabir said the integrated platform is intended to prepare future leaders for a more digital and data-driven business environment.
Unilever also organised “Learn to Lead” roadshows at universities and a nationwide webinar to familiarise students with its business, recruitment process and early-career opportunities.
Participants will be considered for roles in go-to-market, finance, supply chain and human resources. Top performers will be fast-tracked to the final interview stage of UFLP and considered for entry-level positions and the Unilever Leadership Internship Programme.
