UCB Investment Limited (UCBIL) has signed an Issue Management Agreement with Confidence Infrastructure PLC (CIPLC) to act as the issue manager for the company’s proposed Initial Public Offering (IPO).
The agreement was signed at the corporate office of Confidence Infrastructure PLC in Dhaka, reads a press release.
Tanzim Alamgir, managing director and CEO of UCB Investment Limited, and Imran Karim, chairman of Confidence Infrastructure PLC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
Under the agreement, UCB Investment Limited will provide comprehensive issue management and advisory services for the proposed IPO, subject to obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.
Confidence Infrastructure PLC is one of Bangladesh’s leading infrastructure development companies, with diversified operations in infrastructure development and related manufacturing, cement, batteries, transformers, dredging, geobags, construction of poles and bridges, storage construction, power-producing infrastructure, telecommunications infrastructure, and power generation through its own operations and subsidiaries.
The group also has an established presence in the capital market through Confidence Cement PLC, an ‘A’ category company listed on the country’s stock exchanges since 1995.
As of June 2025, Confidence Infrastructure PLC had a paid-up capital of Tk1,381 million against an authorised capital of Tk5,000 million.
The company reported consolidated annual revenue of Tk36,057 million, while its Net Asset Value (NAV) per share stood at Tk192.72 and Earnings Per Share (EPS) at Tk19.92.
The proposed Tk3,000 million IPO is expected to strengthen the company’s capital base and support its next phase of expansion, enabling it to pursue long-term growth opportunities across its diversified business portfolio.
Speaking on the occasion, representatives of both organisations expressed confidence that the partnership would facilitate the successful execution of the IPO and support Confidence Infrastructure PLC’s long-term growth strategy by providing access to sustainable capital for future expansion.
They also emphasised that listing fundamentally strong and well-governed companies broadens investment opportunities, enhances market depth and transparency, mobilises long-term capital for productive sectors, and contributes to the sustainable development of Bangladesh’s capital market and the overall economy.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from UCB Investment Limited and Confidence Infrastructure PLC.
