Uber Bangladesh has launched Premier Plus in Dhaka, introducing a new premium ride category that offers access to newer sedan vehicles and highly rated drivers as the ride-sharing platform seeks to expand travel options for customers in the capital.

The new service, announced on Sunday, is designed for riders seeking a higher-end travel experience while retaining the convenience and reliability associated with the Uber platform, the company said in a press release.

Premier Plus will feature newer sedan vehicles, drivers recognised for delivering high service standards and a travel experience focused on comfort, reliability and peace of mind.

“At Uber, we’re always working to improve the rider experience and offering options that meet a variety of travel needs. Premier Plus is designed for riders who are looking for an elevated experience with newer vehicles and highly-rated drivers, while retaining the convenience and reliability of Uber,” Rezvi said.

According to the company, customers can book a Premier Plus trip through the Uber app by entering their destination, selecting Premier Plus from the available ride options, reviewing trip details and confirming the booking.

Uber said the new category is aimed at riders who place a premium on comfort and service quality while travelling around the city.

The company has continued to expand its mobility services in Bangladesh as demand for app-based transport solutions grows across major urban centres.
