Harry Potter fans will have two new additions to their bookshelves next month as Pocket Potters: Hagrid and Pocket Potters: Dobby are set for release on 13 August in the UK.

According to ScreenRant, publisher Bloomsbury will release the two illustrated titles ahead of the upcoming HBO television adaptation of the wizarding saga, scheduled to premiere on 25 December. Aimed primarily at younger readers, the books also expand the growing Pocket Potters collection for long-time fans.

Pocket Potters: Hagrid, illustrated by Olia Muza, explores the world of Hogwarts’ beloved gamekeeper. The book highlights Hagrid’s hut, his loyal dog Fang, his famous rock cakes, the acromantula spiders of the Forbidden Forest, his unusual pets and his role as Care of Magical Creatures teacher. Muza previously illustrated the Pocket Potters: Ron Weasley edition.

Pocket Potters: Dobby, illustrated by Helen Brady, focuses on the beloved house-elf’s journey. It revisits his years at Malfoy Manor, his affection for socks and bobble hats, and the memorable scene in which Aunt Petunia’s homemade pudding lands on the Dursleys’ dinner guests. Brady also illustrated the forthcoming Pocket Potters: Luna Lovegood.

The new titles join previously released editions dedicated to Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Professor Albus Dumbledore and Luna Lovegood. Each book features illustrations, memorable quotes, story highlights and character facts designed to introduce younger readers to the Wizarding World in an accessible format.

The two books will be available in the UK from 13 August, while the new Harry Potter television series is scheduled to debut on HBO and HBO Max on 25 December.
