Two more people have died from dengue in the past 24 hours, while 306 new cases of the mosquito-borne disease were reported across the country, according to health authorities.
A Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) statement said 58 patients were hospitalised in Barishal division, 66 in Chattogram division, 26 in Dhaka division, 41 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) areas and 28 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) areas during the period.
The report also showed that 38 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Khulna division, 13 each in Mymensingh and Rajshahi divisions, and 23 in Rangpur division.
With the latest figures, the number of dengue deaths this year has reached 32, while the total number of infections stands at 9,676.
Dengue claimed 413 lives and infected 1,02,861 people across Bangladesh in 2025.
In 2024, the disease caused 575 deaths and affected 1,01,214 people, according to health authorities.
