Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir MP, the secretary general of BNP and minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives, is currently on bed rest following medical advice.
On Thursday, Mirza Fakhrul became unwell due to intense heat towards the end of his inaugural speech at rath yatra festival in Dhaka’s Swamibagh area.
Following a rapid physical checkup, he was taken to his residence on advice of his physician. It has been reported that he is currently resting at home and receiving necessary medical treatment there.
