Two people, including a police sub-inspector, were killed in a collision between two motorcycles in Fatikchhari, Chattogram.
The accident occurred on Thursday evening in the Uttar Paindong Amtali area of Paindong Union in Fatikchhari Upazila.
The deceased are Saiful Islam and Md Hafiz. Saiful Islam was a sub-inspector of Manikchhari Police Station and the son of Md Liaqat from Gazaria Police Station in Munshiganj. Md Hafiz, reported to be a pedestrian, was the son of the late Md Ismail from Fakirtilla in Manikchhari.
Two people, including a police member, were injured in the incident. As the police member’s condition was critical, he was admitted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
Fatikchhari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Nur Ahmed said the sub-inspector and the police member were posted at Manikchhari Police Station in Khagrachhari district. While returning from there, their motorcycle collided head-on with another motorcycle in the Amtali area of Fatikchhari, killing two people and injuring two others.
He said legal action will be taken promptly after investigation.
