After nearly two decades of forming the band, Post Office Society has released their debut album, ‘Years in Resonance’. The band, known for its eclectic style and collaborative spirit, was formed almost 20 years ago by friends who gathered after work to sing and share stories.

Describing themselves as crows: grey, black, unmasked and everyday companions of the city,” the band emphasises that no member has a fixed style. Over the years, everyone who has joined or left has become part of the group’s collective sound.

The album was inspired by a live performance at the Goethe Institute in Dhanmondi, when guitarist Bakhtiar Hossain suggested recording the show’s audio as a potential album. Years in Resonance explores themes of identity, existential questioning, and memory, delivered through emotionally rich and evocative melodies.

The band has made the album freely accessible to listeners, who can stream it via a provided link or QR code.

Current members of Post Office Society consist of Abid Hasan Noor (Setu), Shom Hossain Noor, Bakhtiar Hossain, Mohammad Danesh, Naeem Morshed, Anwar Shafiq, Maruf Anwar.
