Two people were killed when two trucks collided on the Dhaka–Mymensingh highway in Trishal upazila early Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Al-Amin, 28, son of Joynal Mia of Kalmakanda upazila in Netrokona, and Rashedul Islam, 30, son of Mohammad Ali of Kalibari area in Mymensingh city.
According to Trishal Fire Service and local sources, the accident occurred near the Bailor Boro Pukur Par Jame Mosque area.
A Mymensingh-bound truck was hit from behind by another truck, leaving the driver and helper of the front vehicle critically injured.
Locals and Trishal Fire Service personnel rescued the victims and took them to Trishal Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared them dead.
