Two workers were injured in an explosion at an AC repair shop in Arambagh in the capital. The injured are Tamim (23) and Billal Hossain Shuvro (21). They are receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The incident occurred around 7pm on Wednesday at a shop named “Mutual Refrigerator” next to the Arambagh Wanderers Club.
Their colleague Md Arafat Hossain Shawon, who brought them to the hospital, said the two were repairing an AC at the shop in the evening. An explosion occurred due to some mistake while charging gas into the AC. Shuvro and Tamim were injured and burned.
They were immediately rescued and brought to the Burn Unit of Dhaka Medical. After treatment at the Burn Unit, they are now being treated in the emergency department of Dhaka Medical.
In-charge of Dhaka Medical Police Camp, Md Faruk, said the two are receiving treatment in the emergency department. The matter has been communicated to Motijheel Thana police.
