Turkish historical mega series Kudüs Fatihi Selahaddin Eyyubi is set to premiere in Bangla, bringing the acclaimed production to local audiences through a joint initiative by private television channel Nagorik TV and the country’s OTT platform Bongo.
The Bangla version of the series will begin airing on 2 August, organisers announced at a press conference held at a hotel in the capital on Tuesday.
According to the organisers, the series will air on Nagorik TV at 8pm from Sunday to Thursday, followed by streaming on the Bongo platform at 9pm.
Set against the backdrop of the 12th century, the historical drama portrays the life, leadership, struggles and heroism of Sultan Selahaddin Eyyubi, one of the Muslim world’s greatest military leaders and the conqueror of Jerusalem.
The series depicts his campaign to recapture Jerusalem from the Crusaders, his efforts to unite the Muslim world, and various chapters of his political foresight, military strategy and commitment to justice.
Since its premiere in Türkiye, the high-budget production has earned widespread praise from audiences and critics alike for its grand sets, stunning cinematography, realistic battle scenes and powerful performances.
The event concluded with the unveiling of the official Bangla trailer and poster for the series.
