Politician and model Meghna Alam has responded to allegations and criticism surrounding her personal life, saying she has never been involved in a physical relationship.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, 6 September, Meghna said she has faced such allegations despite not wearing religious attire. She also questioned what she described as society’s double standards.
Meghna argued that some influential people who publicly present themselves as morally upright and religious continue to receive sympathy despite serious allegations and viral audio recordings involving them.
She questioned why the same standards do not apply to everyone.
“What kind of world is this?” she wrote at the end of her post.
Her comments have since sparked discussion and reactions on social media.
