A two-day training workshop on election reporting began in Lakshmipur with the participation of journalists on Sunday.
The workshop includes 30 journalists from Lakshmipur Press Club and 20 journalists from Noakhali working in print, electronic and online media. Press Institute Bangladesh (PIB) organised the event.
Trainers will conduct sessions on news gathering during elections, fact-checking, news processing, objectivity and journalistic ethics.
The programme started in the morning at Lakshmipur Sadar upazila auditorium and will continue until Monday.
The training was inaugurated by Lakshmipur Press Club President AHM Moshtakur Rahman. Also present were Lakshmipur Press Club General Secretary Saidul Islam Pavel, senior journalist from Noakhali Liaqat Ali Khan, and PIB trainer Mohammad Shah Alam, among others.
