Three people have died with suspected measles infections in the past 24 hours, with one death reported each from Sylhet, Mymensingh, and Khulna divisions, health authorities said.
However, no measles-confirmed deaths were recorded during the same period.
According to a health bulletin issued on Monday by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) control room, a total of 498 suspected measles-related deaths have been reported since 15 March, while 90 deaths have been confirmed as measles-related.
The DGHS said 1,134 new suspected measles cases were reported between 31 May and 1 June morning.
During the same period, 45 cases were confirmed, and 45 patients were admitted to hospitals.
With the latest update, the total number of suspected measles cases since 15 March has reached 72,070, while confirmed cases stand at 9,094.
Hospital data show that 57,902 suspected patients have been admitted for treatment during this period, while 53,722 have recovered and been discharged.
Division-wise data show Dhaka recorded the highest number of suspected cases in the past 24 hours with 500 infections, followed by Chattogram (192), Barishal (129), Sylhet (79), and Khulna (75).
The DGHS also released updated figures on the National Measles-Rubella Vaccination Campaign 2026. Against a target of 1.80 crore children, 1.84 crore have already been vaccinated, achieving 102 per cent coverage.
Regionally, Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, and Rangpur divisions have each achieved 103 per cent coverage, while Sylhet reported 99 per cent.
Among city corporations, Gazipur recorded the highest coverage at 113 per cent. Dhaka North and Rajshahi city corporations reported 109 per cent coverage each, followed by Chattogram at 107 per cent and Dhaka South at 103 per cent.
