Three ‘important’ individuals from the interim government have been appointed as members of the Board of Directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines Limited.
The newly appointed board members are National Security Adviser Khalilur Rahman, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, and Senior Secretary of the Election Commission Secretariat Akhtar Ahmed.
A notification issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism on Wednesday confirmed these appointments. Senior Assistant Secretary Sakila Parvin signed the notification by order of the President.
The notification stated that the appointments were made under Section 30 (B) of the Bangladesh Biman Act, 2023. Issued in the public interest, this order is to take immediate effect.
