Joint forces arrested three individuals with weapons during a raid in the Ghoshbaug area of Ashulia, Savar, early Thursday morning.
Acting on a tip-off, the forces conducted an operation in East Ghoshbaug and detained the armed suspects.
During a search of the criminals’ residence, the joint forces recovered a shotgun, 13 locally-made sharp machetes, 4 knives, extortion money, and other evidence of criminal activities.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mohammad Bishal (20), Nazmul (20), and Shipon (22).
The suspects and the recovered weapons have been handed over to the Ashulia police for further legal action.
Ashulia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Hannan confirmed that a case is being processed, and the suspects will be presented in court once the case is filed.
