We have all faced that situation when we were young. You know: what is your main target in life, what will you be in the future, and so on. And we would come up with common professions as our answers: doctors, engineers, lawyers, teachers, and so on. This reminds me of a concept coined by a stand-up comedian known as DELL. The DELL mentioned here is not the developer company. Rather, it is an acronym (not official, though) for doctor, engineer, lawyer, and loser. Take the first letter of each word, and you will have DELL. Although it was a joke, it became a holy grail quote for many parents. But here is where things get interesting. Successful people sometimes ignore the DELL rule completely and find their target points outside the box.

Investors, businesspeople, and so on have one common concept – think outside the ordinary, for that is where true success lies. A person might be well educated and have an extensive portfolio. Sometimes, that is not enough to get by for a month, given that the inflationary wall is creating a claustrophobic situation. For this, they have to look for simultaneous options (such as investing or trading) to get enough financial support. What many employees don’t know is that the gold mine might not be surrounded within the four walls of an office or a cubicle. Rather, it may be waiting outside those premises in the digital universe. It is up to them how they will tackle it and become profitable.

Picture the following situation. Group A has engineers, lawyers, doctors, and such people at the top of the job chain, who have divided their monthly income and use certain parts for investment. Group B has engineers, lawyers, doctors, and such people at the top of the job chain, dependent on their monthly paycheck. They live most of their lives with whatever they get by the end of the month. Which, out of the two groups, do you think has tapped into the matrix? If you choose Group B, you might need to get further financial education. But if you think that Group A is the successful bunch of people, then you are absolutely right. Investment is another way of going outside the boundaries and finding success. The main question for those in Group A is: How effective are they in investments and investing? Effective investing requires a whole set of skills. And someone who is not from a financial or economic background can understand (if written in simple English) how perfect investing can be done.

Now let’s put ourselves in the shoes of digital marketers. At first, one might get a job in an office and go by with a great portfolio. Given the current job market situation, an improvement in the career path is not guaranteed. Instead, reaching out to external clients can become a gold mine. This is starting to become a new trend – especially among copywriters. Many copywriters who work for international clients tend to earn around $3,000 a month. This is done with minimal working hours. But there is a sacrifice behind this profit. Revisions, perfection, and pitching are some of the biggest challenges copywriters face, regardless of experience. Not all companies will accept the same email, sales page content, description, and so on. What I am trying to say is simple – do not confine yourselves to four walls and think about being rich.

There are many ways one can think outside the box. I have mentioned investment and working for international clients here, considered as common examples by experts. If one were to ask me for advice, I would say that you should test yourself first. You and the skills that you have can take you to the outer boundaries. Evaluate yourself thoroughly, do your research, and then start executing the process. Research, in this case, plays an important role rather than throwing a stone in the dark and hoping that it hits the target.

I would like to conclude by saying that being successful will take time, and may burn you to a level where you might think about giving up. Giving up is not the option. If you have the opportunity, seize it. But don’t be constrained by the holy grail quote (or should I say concept) and think that it is the only way forward. Take that risky exit. Maybe the highway to heaven is within reach.
