Thailand Ambassador to Bangladesh Thitiporn Chirasawad met Incepta Pharmaceuticals leadership at its Tejgaon head office on Wednesday to explore expanding bilateral pharmaceutical trade, investment and technology collaboration.
The talks centred on trade expansion, joint manufacturing and knowledge exchange to strengthen sectoral ties between Bangladesh and Thailand, the company said in a press release.
Incepta Pharmaceuticals Chairman and Managing Director Abdul Muktadir led the delegation, with Executive Director (ED) EH Arefin Ahmed, ED Naimul Huda, ED Ehsan Aziz and Senior Manager Md Arifur Rahman.
A presentation highlighted the company’s manufacturing capacity, global footprint and technological strengths, alongside its ongoing exports to Thailand.
Expanding collaboration in technology transfer and joint production could open new market opportunities and scale up bilateral trade, said Abdul Muktadir.
Stronger engagement between pharmaceutical stakeholders could boost trade and investment flows, said Thitiporn Chirasawad.
Both sides agreed to pursue concrete steps to deepen cooperation, signalling potential growth in pharmaceutical trade and wider economic ties between Bangladesh and Thailand.
