BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has emerged victorious in both constituencies he contested in the 13th parliamentary election.
He participated in the polls from the Dhaka-17 and Bogra-6 seats and won in both.
In the Dhaka-17 constituency, Tarique was unofficially declared the winner after securing 54,825 votes. His nearest rival, Dr Khaliduzzaman, the candidate from Jamaat, received 46,840 votes. Tarique Rahman defeated Dr Khaliduzzaman by a margin of 7,985 votes.
