India climbed to the top of Group A in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup with a commanding 93-run victory over Namibia on 12 February 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The win, their second in succession, takes them to four points and above Pakistan on net run rate, with both sides level on points.
After being put in to bat, India made an explosive start. Sanju Samson struck 22 from just eight balls as the openers raced to 25 in two overs. Ishan Kishan then dominated the powerplay, bringing up a rapid half-century and propelling India to 85 for 1 inside six overs. He eventually fell for a blistering 61 from 24 deliveries with the total on 104.
Tilak Varma added a steady 25 from 21 balls, while captain Suryakumar Yadav made 12. The innings gathered fresh momentum through Hardik Pandya, who smashed four fours and four sixes in a powerful 52 from 28 balls to carry India beyond 200. Shivam Dube chipped in with 23 from 16 deliveries. Although India lost five wickets in the final four overs, they still posted an imposing 209 for 9. Namibia captain Gerhard Erasmus was the standout bowler with four wickets.
In response, Namibia began confidently, adding 33 for the first wicket. Jan Frylinck scored 22 from 15 balls, and the side reached 58 for 1 at the end of the powerplay. However, once Lohan Louwrens (29) and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton (13) departed, the innings unravelled.
Erasmus struck a brief 18 from 11 balls, while Zane Green made 11, but regular breakthroughs from India’s bowlers halted any hopes of a comeback. Namibia were dismissed for 116 in 18.2 overs.
Varun Chakravarthy led the bowling effort with three wickets. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel claimed two apiece, while Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dube and Jasprit Bumrah took one each.
