BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has held a meeting with leaders representing vans [three wheeler], Battery-powered rickshaws, and rickshaw pullers.
The discussion meeting was held at around 10pm on Tuesday at the BNP chairman’s political office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter.
Seating arrangements were made on the ground floor of the Gulshan office for leaders of rickshaw, van and auto-rickshaw drivers.
Prior to the discussion, Tarique shook hands and exchanged greetings with them.
BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said, “Those rickshaw, van and battery-powered auto-rickshaw drivers who actively participated in the July mass uprising were mainly invited to this discussion meeting.”
Sources said, the driver leaders shared their experiences regarding professional problems, livelihood crises and the ongoing political situation.
Tarique Rahman listened to them and called on everyone to remain united in future democratic movements.
