BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has applied online to become a voter of DNCC Ward 19 in the Gulshan area of the Dhaka-17 constituency.
His daughter Zaima Rahman has also submitted an application to be registered as a voter in the same ward.
National Identity Registration Wing Director General ASM Humayun Kabir disclosed the information while speaking to journalists on Saturday.
Earlier on Saturday morning, Tarique Rahman completed the National Identity Card (NID) enrolment process at the Election Commission.
He arrived at the Election Training Institute (ETI) in the capital’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar around 1pm for this purpose, and left around 1:20pm.
Prior to this, around 12:20pm, Tarique’s wife, Zubaida Rahman, and daughter, Zaima Rahman, arrived at the Election Training Institute (ETI). Zaima left the EC premises around 12:45 pm after completing her NID registration process.
