As the Spice Girls approach their 30th anniversary, fans are eagerly awaiting a potential reunion, but a documentary celebrating the girl group may not happen soon.
Mel B, one 1/5th of Spice Girls, told Hello! that while all five members have considered the idea, any project must be done “in the right way” and “honest,” adding that not everyone is willing to be completely open.
Last year, Mel B hinted at a reunion on Instagram, while Mel C suggested something special to mark the milestone, possibly including a world tour. Geri Horner also expressed hope for a full group return, calling it “more respectful to come as one.”
The Spice Girls released their debut single ‘Wannabe’ in June 1996.
Their last performance as a complete quintet was at the London 2012 Olympic Games closing ceremony, with subsequent reunions, including a 2019 tour, taking place without Victoria Beckham.
