Emerging Bangladeshi artist Farzana Rahman Bobby’s second solo exhibition, ‘Sound Within Stillness’ was inaugurated on Thursday at La Galerie at Alliance Française de Dhaka (AFD).
inviting viewers on an introspective journey into the quiet rhythms of life and the natural world, ‘Sound Within Stillness’ offers an artistic journey of Farzana Rahman Bobby. Through her mixed-media canvases, Bobby transforms leaves, roots, and trees into a visual meditation that reflects both nature’s nurturing spirit and its fragile balance in the modern era.

Employing layered textures, fluid patterns, and organic motifs, Bobby’s work captures the subtle pulse of life that flows through every vein, branch, and root. Each composition encourages visitors to pause, reflect, and experience the resonance that emerges from silence, where stillness becomes profoundly alive.
The inauguration event was joined by eminent artist Monirul Islam as the chief guest, with special guests including art connoisseur Nahid Mahatab, artist and writer Javed Jalil, and Muntasir Moin, founder of the Moin Foundation.

Born in 1985, Farzana Rahman Bobby completed her BFA and MFA in Printmaking at the University of Development Alternative. She held her first solo exhibition, ‘The Soul of the Soil’, at Gallery Shilpangan, Dhaka, in 2019. Her work has also been showcased internationally, including the 11th Geoje International Art Festival in Busan, South Korea, and the Bangladesh Art Week in Dubai, both in 2025.

‘Sound Within Stillness’ promises an intimate encounter with nature’s subtle rhythms, making it a must-visit for Dhaka’s art aficionados this season. Running until November 8, the exhibition welcomes art lovers daily from 3 to 9 PM, Monday through Saturday.
