Six trainee assistant superintendents of police of the 41st Bangladesh Civil Service (Police) batch have been dismissed from government service while undergoing training at the Sardah Police Academy in Rajshahi.
The decision was disclosed in a gazette issued on Sunday by Police Wing-1 of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The removed trainee ASPs are Md Delwar Hossain, Mahmudul Haque, Md Ishaq Hossain, Md Mashiur Sahman, Muhammad Rakib Anwar and Sayeed Karim Mugdha.
According to the gazette signed by Deputy Secretary Md Mahbubur Rahman, the removals were carried out in line with the Bangladesh Civil Service recruitment rules and with the approval of the appropriate authority.
Police sources said officers of the 41st BCS (Police) batch are currently undergoing a one-year training programme at the Sardah Police Academy in Charghat upazila of Rajshahi.
Although the training was scheduled to conclude next month, the six trainees were removed from service before completing the programme.
