Derek Loh, Singapore’s non-resident high commissioner to Bangladesh, met with Commerce Adviser Sk Bashir Uddin at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday to discuss strengthening bilateral trade and investment.
During the meeting, the commerce adviser highlighted Singapore’s technological expertise, noting that Bangladesh could learn a great deal from Singapore’s service sector. He emphasised the need to enhance trade and investment capacity for mutual benefit.
Derek Loh expressed Singapore’s interest in collaborating with Bangladesh to boost trade and improve technological facilities in service-providing institutions. He also offered support in upgrading workforce skills in these sectors.
The meeting was attended by Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, Singapore High Commission Chargé d’Affaires Mitchelle Lee, and Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Shibir Bichitra Barua.
