Sidharth Malhotra has showered praise on his wife, actor Kiara Advani, following the release of her much-anticipated Toxic trailer, writes Hindustan Times.
The trailer of Yash-starrer Toxic was released on Saturday and quickly sparked discussion online.
While Yash leads the action thriller, Kiara’s performance as Nadia has also drawn significant attention from fans.
Sidharth took to Instagram Stories to share the trailer and cheer for Kiara. Praising her dedication, he wrote, “The effort, the grind, the passion — it’s all going to show on the big screen. Going to be one of your bests Ki!!”
He also congratulated director Geetu Mohandas, Yash and the entire team, adding, “Can’t wait to see the magic @geetu_mohandas @thenameisyash, you and the entire team has created. Best wishes team #Toxic. Looking forward to 26th Aug.”
Kiara calls Toxic a career-defining film
Kiara also opened up about the importance of Toxic during the film’s trailer launch.
The actor said she believes the project could mark a major turning point in her career.
“I think there will be Kiara before Toxic and a Kiara after Toxic,” she said, crediting Mohandas and Yash for believing in her and offering her the role of Nadia.
Kiara added that working on the film has made her want to take on more challenging roles and become “greedier” with every project.
Toxic marks Kiara’s return to the big screen following her maternity break. She and Sidharth welcomed their daughter, Seraayah, in 2025.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is a pan-India action thriller starring Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi.
The film was shot simultaneously in English and Kannada and will be released in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
Produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on 26 August.
