Bangladeshi actress Keya Payel has reassured fans that she is safe in Saudi Arabia, where she travelled to perform Umrah amid concerns over the country’s security situation.
The actress recently shared a video of herself in front of the Holy Kaaba on social media, describing the experience as one of the best of her life.
As reports of missile and drone attacks targeting facilities in Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh’s airport, raised concerns among fans and well-wishers, many wondered whether Payel was safe.
Speaking to TIMES via WhatsApp, Payel said she was currently in Makkah and had completed her Umrah without any difficulties.
“I am doing well in Makkah. I have performed Umrah peacefully and have not faced any problems here. I will return to Bangladesh on 18 October,” she said.
Meanwhile, Payel has entered a new phase in her acting career with the release of her first web film, Happily Married, on Chorki.
Directed by Zahid Preetam, the film stars Arifin Shuvoo opposite Payel, who plays Anamika. The story explores social media, celebrity fascination and the complexities of modern urban life.
