A viral social media post claiming Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan voiced support for a student-led protest has been found to be fake, with no evidence that the actor ever shared the statement on his official social media accounts, shared by Gulf News.

The screenshot, which circulated widely online, appeared to show Khan expressing solidarity with students and calling for a fair and transparent examination system.

The alleged post, written in Hindi, quickly gained traction, leading many users to believe the actor had publicly backed the movement.

However, a review of Shah Rukh Khan’s verified X and Instagram accounts found no such post.

The viral screenshot does not match any content published on his official social media profiles.

Reports suggest the confusion may have originated from an account using the actor’s name that is not affiliated with his verified profiles.

As the image spread online, many users mistakenly treated it as an authentic statement from the Bollywood star.

The claim emerged amid widespread discussion surrounding the student protests at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, where demonstrators have been demanding greater transparency and accountability following alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.

With several film personalities publicly commenting on the issue, speculation grew over whether Shah Rukh Khan would also issue a statement.

However, there is currently no evidence that the actor has publicly endorsed the protests or commented on the matter.

The viral screenshot remains unauthenticated and should not be regarded as genuine.

Meanwhile, several Bollywood celebrities have publicly expressed support for the student movement.

Among them are Shabana Azmi, Prakash Raj, Sonakshi Sinha and Ranjini Haridas.

Salman Khan also voiced support, saying his “heart goes out to the students” and describing the alleged examination paper leak as “a very serious issue.”

He urged that the movement remain focused on education and should not be politicised.
