Seven people have died of dengue in the past 24 hours, while 1,593 patients were admitted to hospitals across the country with the viral disease.
Of the seven deaths, two were reported in Khulna division, while one each occurred in Barishal, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Rangpur divisions.
The latest data were released by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday in its daily dengue update.
According to the DGHS Health Emergency Operations Centre and Control Room, 159 of the newly hospitalised patients were in Barishal division, 165 in Chattogram, 383 in Dhaka division outside the city corporations, 171 in Dhaka North City Corporation and 132 in Dhaka South City Corporation.
Another 290 patients were admitted in Khulna, 82 in Mymensingh, 137 in Rajshahi, 65 in Rangpur and nine in Sylhet.
With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll this year has reached 164.
A total of 55,163 dengue patients have been hospitalised across the country since 1 January, according to the DGHS.
Meanwhile, 1,566 patients were discharged from hospitals in the past 24 hours. The total number of patients discharged since the beginning of the year now stands at 50,941.
The continuing rise in hospitalisations comes as dengue cases remain a growing public health concern across the country, particularly in Dhaka and several other divisions.
