Standard Chartered Bangladesh (SCB) has partnered with MetLife Bangladesh to introduce assistive benefits for employees with disabilities, expanding workplace inclusion and healthcare coverage.
The programme was launched on Wednesday at a signing ceremony in Dhaka, the bank said in a press release.
The initiative offers specialised coverage for employees with physical, hearing and vision disabilities, allowing reimbursement of approved assistive devices up to Tk3,50,000, depending on the disability.
The benefit can be accessed once every three years to support evolving needs.
The bank has also enhanced overall healthcare coverage, increasing both outpatient and inpatient limits for all employees.
The move aims to remove practical barriers and strengthen employee wellbeing through more inclusive policies.
“Inclusion means designing policies and benefits around the diverse needs of employees,” said Standard Chartered Bangladesh CEO Naser Ezaz Bijoy.
“Every colleague deserves the tools and support needed to thrive,” he added.
MetLife Bangladesh CEO Ala Ahmad said the partnership would strengthen insurance coverage and deliver practical solutions to improve employee wellbeing.
The initiative builds on Standard Chartered’s focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, aiming to create a safer and more supportive work environment for employees.
