Universal College Bangladesh (UCBD) has launched a new skill development platform, ‘Campus to Corporate’, to strengthen links between academia and industry through direct engagement with corporate leaders.
The inaugural session was held at the UCBD campus in Dhaka on 29 April, marking the start of a structured initiative aimed at preparing students for professional careers.
The first session featured Coca-Cola Icecek Bangladesh Managing Director Shadab Ahmed Khan, who shared insights on leadership, career progression and adaptability in a changing business environment.
“Your academic foundation is important, but what truly differentiates you is how you translate learning into action,” he said.
“Stay curious, take initiative, and view challenges and failures as opportunities to grow,” he added.
Students engaged in an open discussion and question-and-answer session, gaining exposure to corporate expectations, leadership approaches and workplace realities.
STS Group CEO and Universal College Bangladesh CEO Manas Singh said the platform is designed to build practical skills beyond classroom learning.
“Through ‘Campus to Corporate’, we aim to create meaningful connections between our students and industry leaders,” he said.
The initiative will host monthly sessions with professionals from different industries to provide students with regular exposure to real-world perspectives and career pathways.
The session concluded with an interactive exchange between students and the speaker, reflecting the institution’s focus on experiential, dialogue-driven learning.
