Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has called on expatriate workers, including Bangladeshis, to issue or renew their work permits (Rukhsa Amal) within the stipulated timeframe.
A notice from the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh said workers whose permits expired more than 12 months ago, as well as those who entered the kingdom or changed employers but failed to obtain permits within six months, must complete the process by the end of 2026.
The ministry stressed that the measure is intended to ensure compliance with labour laws and safeguard the rights of both employers and employees. It warned that legal action will be taken against those who miss the deadline.
The Bangladesh Embassy also urged its nationals to complete the procedures on time.
