Saudi Arabia has commenced the issuance of Umrah visas for new 1448 AH season, marking the start of preparations following the conclusion of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Under the newly released schedule, international pilgrims will be permitted to enter the Kingdom to perform Umrah until 23 March 2027, reports The Gulf News.
The ministry has outlined several critical deadlines for the upcoming season. The final date for the issuance of Umrah visas has been set for 9 March 2027, which corresponds to 1 Shawwal 1448 AH.
While the last date for pilgrims to enter Saudi Arabia is 23 March 2027, the authorities have stipulated that all Umrah pilgrims must depart the Kingdom by 7 April 2027.
Pilgrims are required to obtain their Umrah permits and manage bookings through the Nusuk platform. This application serves as the Kingdom’s unified digital gateway for all pilgrimage services, including automated contracting procedures and QR code verification systems.
The general authority for the Affairs of Two Holy Mosques and the ministry are continuing to accelerate the digital transformation of pilgrimage services.
This includes the introduction of electronic permits and the expansion of transport and hospitality infrastructure.
These initiatives are part of broader efforts to accommodate an increasing number of pilgrims in alignment with the goals of Vision 2030.
The Masar Nusuk platform has also been launched to further streamline the experience for worshippers entering Mecca.
